Eat Real Food, Get Healthy in 2013!January 3, 2013 by Roxanne | Filed under Holistic Lifestyle.
Happy New Year! Every year the most popular New Year’s Resolutions are usually the same 5 things. It’s some combination of…
- Get Healthy / Lose Weight
- Quit Smoking
- Take better care of finances
- Work life balance / More time with family
- Help others / Volunteer / Charity
While all of these are great goals, I wonder if every year they are the same why aren’t we achieving our goals? Is it lack of desire, lack of support, or just laziness? I tend to think it’s all about lack of support. Isn’t it easier to make the commitment to go to the gym 3 times a week if you have a friend going with you? or an appointment with a trainer? There is something about having a buddy or an accountability partner that really gets you to achieve your goals.
This is something I have experienced first hand with my education at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. During your education there you are set up with a buddy to help you stay on track with your health, education, and business. It really does make a big difference – so much so that I still have an IIN buddy that I check in with every other week.
What is your New Year’s Resolution? What are your goals for 2013? If you do want to get to the gym three times a week get yourself a gym buddy or a trainer or if you want to get your finances in order enlist the help of a financially savvy friend. Later on in the month I will be writing more about setting and achieving goals that you set for yourself.
If you really want to get healthy this year whether you need to lose weight, identify food allergies, or learn to meal plan, the best thing you can do is get support. If you haven’t already joined our 7 Day Real Food Challenge – this is a great way to start. In this program you will get a detailed plan and recipes (gluten-free and dairy-free) already done for you and an amazing support group full of real food bloggers and other participants just like yourself. You’ll even get a 30 minute one on one strategy session with me on the phone (that usually costs $60) and the cost of the program is only $29. If you are looking for a low cost way to get your health on track this is it!
What is your New Year’s Resolution? How do you plan to keep yourself on track?
