Simple Summer Real Food Recipe # 3
This recipe is one of my staples. We eat hummus all the time, it’s a great snack or it can be part of a meal. A lot of times we will much on hummus and veggies while we are waiting for dinner to be ready. This is super easy – it’s even easier if you used canned beans. I prefer to use dry beans and cook them myself with a strip of kombu seaweed. If you boil the beans with the seaweed it adds a lot of nice minerals to the beans and it makes it easier to digest. Here is the recipe, hope you enjoy!
Hummus Tahini
- 1 cup dried beans, soaked and cooked
- 1/3 cup sesame tahini
- juice from 1 lemon
- 1 tbsp tamari
- 1tsp garlic powder or 1 glove raw garlic
- water (add cooking liquid or water to get desired consistency)
Add all ingredients into a food processor or a blender. Add water to get desired consistency. Store in the refrigerator, good for 5-7 days.

yum! :p
