Ingredients:

SECURED payday loans

  • 1 cup frozen mango
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple
  • 1 tbsp flax seed oil
  • 1 tsp raw honey
  • 1/4 cup walnuts
  • 1 tbsn hemp seed powder
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup water

Add all ingredients to a blender and mix!  This makes a tall smoothie. I usually share mine with my daughter but she only has about 1/4 cup worth.

I love this smoothie becuase its so delicious it reminds me of drinking a fruity tropical cocktail on the beach.  The added bonus is that it is packed with health benefits.

Here are some of the benefits:

  •  Flaxseed oil is rich in essential fatty acits and is used to prevent and treat heart disease and to relieve a variety of inflammatory disorders and hormone-related problems, including infertility.
  • Raw honey contains 27 minerals, 22 amino acids and 5,000 live enzymes. It keeps you healthy by fighting disease and boosting the digestive system.
  • Walnuts help decrease inflammation, which keeps blood vessels nice and elastic. They help prevent hardening of the arteries by limiting the amount of plaque build up on arterial walls, as well as lowering LDL

Sounds yummy! Thanks for sharing. Just out of curiosity…when you use coconut milk is it the kind in a can (like used in asian cooking) or the kind in a box (like almond or rice milk comes in)? I’ve purchased both and the kind in a can has fewer ingredients, but the kind in a box is now popping up all over grocery store shelves. Just curious what you use/recommend.

Hi Angela! I have used both actually BUT you have it right…the less ingreditents the better! The other thing to consider is if the can itself contains BPA – which you don’t always know.
