Healthy Strawberry Jam Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Strawberries, tops removed
  • 1/2 cup Apple, peeled and grated
  • 1/2 cup Organic Sugar
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • pinch salt

Instructions

  • Weigh out strawberries, with tops removed, to get 1 pound
  • Peel and grate the apple and measure to 1/2 cup
  • Add all ingredients into a pot and stir together
  • Turn heat on to low and gradually raise it up to medium
  • Continuously stir the mixture, dissolving the sugar
  • Mash the strawberries with a fork or potato masher as your are stirring
  • Cook the mixture for about 40 minutes until thickened
  • Remove from heat and let it cool. Spoon into a glass jar to store.
