There are natural oils that reduce acne scars. Having clear and even-toned skin is what every woman wants. This is why the “anti-aging” skin care market is over a $2 Billion industry in the United States. Most of the products in this category are synthetic or at least partially synthetic and may even have some associated health risks.
The truth is, we don't need chemically engineered creams and lotions. Many of them cost a small fortune and are not worth the health risks. Mother nature has already provided us with organic oils that regenerate and protect the skin without the possibility of harmful side effects. These are my top 3 contenders for oils that help to reduce or eliminate scars.
Natural Oils that Reduce Acne Scars
Rosehip Seed Oil
Rosehip Seed Oil is a very gentle oil that is extremely high in essential fatty acids. It's rich in vitamins and antioxidants, especially Vitamin C, Vitamin A, and linoleic and linolenic acids which are all important for healthy hydrated skin. This oil is considered a “dry” oil because of how well it absorbs into the skin and does not leave an oil film on the skin's surface. It's ability to absorb quickly makes it an ideal choice to nourish dry, weathered, or damaged skin. Rosehip seed oil works wonders on scars and preventing premature aging. You can apply it directly to scars or applied to the entire face.
Macadamia Nut Oil
Macadamia nut oil is a protective and regenerative oil for the skin. It is high in monounsaturated fatty acids, and closely resembles sebum (the oil naturally produced by one's skin to help protect it). It is also has a high absorption rate which helps to keep skin moisturized and healthy. Macadamia nut oil is a healing oil for scars, sunburns, minor wounds, and other irritations. This makes it an excellent choice for anyone with acne scars.
Vitamin E Oil
Vitamin E is well known for it's skin nourishing properties. It can be taken internally or used topically to help keep skin healthy. When used topically it helps to regulate Vitamin A and keep natural oils on the skin from oxidizing. It promotes tissue repair which can help to fade away acne scars or scars. Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin and it easily absorbs into the skin which is beneficial to tissue repair. You can use all three of these oils in mixtures or all on their own. Vitamin E oil though I would recommend mixing it with other oils especially if you have sensitive skin.
